Large Animal Services
The agricultural industry is an essential part of the Carroll County area. St. Francis Vet Clinic is proud to offer complete animal health-care solutions for large animals, whether they live on small family farms or in large beef herds. We have four doctors on staff who see large animals. We treat cattle, equine, llamas, alpacas, porcine, sheep, and goats—to name a few. We’ve even been known to see camels for a local live theatrical production.
Our modern veterinary hospital features a large-animal haul-in facility. We provide routine vaccinations, reproduction-related calls (deliveries, prolapses, etc.), and complete treatment for sick animals. We regularly see and treat diseases and conditions such as respiratory disease, dystocias, prolapses, pink-eye, calf scours, and lameness.
Equine Services
We offer a full suite of services designed to support your horses’ health and performance throughout their lifetime. Our equine services include:
· Reproduction (breeding management, foaling support)
· Health certificates (for travel/sale)
· Joint injections (sacroiliac (SI) and ultrasound-guided)
· Hock and coffin-joint injections

Bovine Services
Whether you have a small herd or a commercial ranch, we provide comprehensive bovine care to keep productivity high and cattle healthy. Services we provide:
· Reproduction services and artificial insemination (AI)
· Preventative care: deworming, parasite prevention (internal & external)
· Health certificates (for transport/trade)
· Routine deworming and parasiticide programs
· Castrations (appropriate handling and timing)
· On-call after-hours emergencies (we’re ready when you need us)
· Farm calls (when you have a facility with head shoot or gate to safely catch animals)
